Introducing our 2022 WHS Volunteers of the Year!

Sabrina & Greg Redl

We would like to take this opportunity to recognize two of our favourite people here at West Hill Softball. If you have been part of any evaluations, pre-season clinics, our u13/u15 seasons, or our fall program, you probably have met Sabrina and Greg.

Saying YES when WHS needs help has been in their DNA for years, even when their kids were not involved. They have been truly invaluable to our Association. This year, their commitment peaked when they contributed endless hours through our evaluation process for all age groups, helping rake fields during our rain-filled tournament, and culminated with them Coaching, Umpiring, and lugging around equipment at our Fall outdoor program. This just scratches the surface of everything they have done for WHS in 2022.

Not only have they shown great commitment themselves, they have passed on their volunteer bug to their children. Devyn has been one of our most prominent volunteers with the younger age groups throughout the year.

For all of their efforts and contributions to West Hill Softball this year, we would like to say THANK YOU to Greg & Sabrina (and Devyn!). They will be receiving a token of our appreciation from WHS shortly!

We recognize them as our 2022 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR

Volunteer Honourable Mentions

Jason & Jennifer Lewis

We would not have been able to host our tournament without the help and lead of these two fantastic volunteers! They worked long hours planning, preparing, and executing with leadership on our first full WHS Tournament. Whether it was driving around town for swag, medals, food for sale, and porta-potty rentals, they were behind pretty much everything. If they weren’t helping with the tournament, you could find Jason setting up diamonds for their daughter’s u15 team throughout season.

And the reviews are in, our tournament was arguably one of the best in the province this year!!!

THANK YOU to Jen & Jay for everything you put into the tournament and your u15 team this season!

Frank & Kim Formella

Another family that is always willing to help in whatever way they can are the Formellas. Like the Redls, Frank and Kim were prominent at many of our evaluations and clinics before, during, and after the season. Even without an official Coach designation, one or both of them were always present running drills, warming girls up, scorekeeping, etc. for their daughters’ two teams. If we had something that needed to be done, they were there to pitch in with whatever was needed.

We cannot underestimate just how important families like the Formellas have been to our Association. For everything you have done this season and all our past seasons, THANK YOU Kim & Frank!
