- JUNIOR SKILLS CAMP -
Clinics w/ WHS & SAIT
Players will enjoy this dynamic 6-session clinic focused on all facets of their game. The clinics will be run in association with our friends at SAIT Trojans Fastball (including current/former WHS players!). The clinics will rotate through skills like hitting, fielding, throwing, and catching and will be tailored to each athlete's individual skill level.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS:
u9-u13 (born 2011-2016)
All skill levels welcome

PARENT INVOLVEMENT:
Some volunteer help will be needed to run drills. Coach volunteers are encouraged to attend and learn as well.

- JUNIOR PITCHING -
Clinics w/ UofC Pitchers
These Junior clinics are designed for pitchers of all skill levels within our 2024 u9 to u13 age categories (born 2011-2016). Clinics will focus on strengthening your pitcher's mechanics through repetition and instruction.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS:
All potential pitchers (u9 to u13)
COACHES:
Led by Maddie Belden & U of C Pitching Friends
PARENT INVOLVEMENT:
Required Parent/Sibling catcher for each pitcher
DATES:
4 Sundays: Oct 22, Nov 5, 19, Dec 3
Session 1: 4:00-5:00pm
Session 2: 5:00-6:00pm

COACH DETAILS: MADDIE BELDEN & FRIENDS
Maddie is a former West Hill Softball player and current University of Calgary pitcher. She has accumulated a lot of pitching knowledge over the past 15 years and is excited to share it with the next generation of players. She has helped with our Friday Night Spring clinics this year as well as working with some of our u13 pitchers this fall!
Maddie will be bringing along additional player coaches to join her to ensure participants get as much feedback and instruction as possible!
- SENIOR SELECTS CAMPS -
Clinics w/ WHS
Similar to last season, your experienced WHS Coaches will lead our Selects Camps at the Coyote Den. This 6 session camp will develop all skills (throwing, catching, fielding, batting, running). We hope to bring in some specialized guest coaches during the 6-week clinic!
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS:
Invites will be sent by West Hill Softball to our most competitive Division 1 & 2 players
COACHES:
Led by WHS Coaches (with potential Guest Coaches brought in)
PARENT INVOLVEMENT:

Clinics w/ Lance Block
WHS welcomes back Lance Block back to our winter program! Lance has a track record of helping pitchers get the most out of their skillset, taking experienced pitchers to the next level (unlocking your power/speed, working with different pitches and spins, etc.) New for 2023/24: Full 8 session progression designed by Lance.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS:
Experienced Pitchers (u13+) Minimum 2 years experience

COACH DETAILS: LANCE BLOCK
Lance is a certified CANpitch Regional Pitching Instructor and Level 1 NCCP certified coach. Having two daughters that pitch and being a former pitcher himself, he understands that practicing proper mechanics and techniques are almost as important as having fun! Lance led the Calgary u15 Team to the Alberta Summer Games in 2023.
He has been leading pitching clinics for the past five years. He enjoys working with the athletes and bringing creative new drills to challenge them.
