It is important to break in a new ball glove as it makes it easier to use. Your player wants to be able to squeeze the glove as well as easily trap the ball in the pocket. Here are a couple of helpful videos that you can refer to.
Yes! Friend requests are accepted, but cannot be guaranteed. Several factors come into play like team sizes and construction, but most importantly, our evaluation process (players must be at the same skill level).
For U7 and U9, where there are no evaluations, we will attempt to accommodate all requests.
Our Timbits (U7) group plays entirely in WHS region.
Our other younger age groups will tend to have more games played in local areas and other South parts of the city, including occasional games as far as Okotoks.
Our older age groups are likely to play across the city, including Cochrane, Airdrie, Strathmore, and Okotoks.
Most age categories play TWO games a week, with a team practice on the weekend. Some more competitive teams may have more additional practices. Weekend tournaments may also be an opportunity for some teams.
Exception: Timbits (U7) will play ONLY two weeknights per week. No additional practices required.
Coaches will schedule practices on a weekly basis, typically on weekends (Saturday or Sunday mornings, or Sunday late afternoon / evenings). Practices will typically be scheduled for the same time each weekend.
Practices will start either indoors or outdoors in early April. Additional fees may be collected for some team-based indoor practices (to offset the gym costs).
Division 1 & 2 teams may have additional practices during the week or weekend and may start practicing by March.
