Pre-season Clinic Recap & What’s Next

Wow!  Nearly 150 players participated in our preseason clinics over the past two weekends, whether Rustbusters, Pitching and Catching clinics, Intro to Softball, and Selects Camps.  We are excited to see all new and familiar faces, and to be back in our home CFIS gyms for the first time in two years.  This was no simple feat to pull off, but looks like we had some eager participation, some new blisters, and lots of smiles!   Thank you to our friends at SAIT for being wonderful partners these past weekends.

Over the next few weeks, WHS will turn our focus to player evaluation sessions across all age groups U11 and above.  We may have the opportunity to host additional Pitching, Catching, or Rustbuster clinics, but none have been scheduled at this time.  Communications will be made if and when additional clinics become available for the coming weekends, please stay tuned.

Registration Deadline Day is Today and we are breaking more new records!

We have already surpassed the 300th registration, smashing our previous deadline record total.  We have already surpassed our renewal rate from past seasons, and we say WELCOME to our 71 new player registrations!

A reminder, that we do accept U7 & U9 registrations until March!   All other age groups will accept late registrations, pending team availability.  Are your teammates and friends registered yet for Spring?  Help us help them by reaching out!

A special shout out to two teams:  U12 Fiery Foxes (Team 4 – Kevin Church) and U12 Ally-oops (Team 3 – Rachel Sawyer) for leading the way, each with 12 returning players this season!  Congratulations to Kevin and Rachel and their entire teams for promoting the game to the players, we are all grateful!

In the next update, we will review some of the rule changes in 2022, how to prepare for the season, and information about coaching volunteers.  Until then, stay healthy friends!
