To 2022 WHS Participants,

Hope everyone has been enjoying their summers so far.  Like most of you, we took the opportunity to unwind following the season, and are once again starting to ramp up league activities as we move into the fall season.  Here is a quick recap and link to our 2022 season Survey for you.

SEASON RECAP

Congratulations to our 35 total Spring teams for a fantastic season!  Whether your daughter was just trying out Timbits u7 for the first time, or she was a veteran playing in her final seasons of high school level ball, West Hill’s spring season was a tremendous success!  It was great to get back out onto the fields for our first regular spring season since 2019.  Although the weather this spring was “iffy at best”, at least we didn’t run into any snow or heat/smoke warnings!

We here at the West Hill Softball board are very proud of our organization’s ability to persevere through the Pandemic and come out stronger on the other side.  Registrations have increased nearly 40% since our last full season in 2019, and specifically up 18% just this year.  We surpassed 400 total players for the first time!  It was great to see the growth in our younger age groups, as we had over 30 registrations for every birth year from 2007 all the way to 2014!   In fact, our u11 group reached a record high 98 players on its own.

Thank you to all our volunteers across the entire organization.  Special shout outs to all our board members for their dedication to the game this season.  Thank you to all our Coaches, Umpires, Managers, Field Prep Managers, Equipment Managers, Scorekeepers, and Chauffeurs!  We could not have a successful season without our parent volunteers, and we appreciate you all!   Please see our survey below for your opportunity to nominate your favourite volunteers for our yearly awards.

Have photos from the season that you’d like us to post on our website or for social media?  Please send them our way to info@westhillsoftball.ca
