TRY SOFTBALL INTROS - WINTER 2026

COME TRY SOFTBALL – FREE INTRODUCTORY SESSION!

Designed for new prospective players interested in trying the sport of Fastpitch Softball!

OPEN TO:

• Players who have never played organized Fastpitch Softball
• Open to Girls aged 5-8 (as of January 1, 2026)
• Open to Boys aged 5-6 (as of January 1, 2026)
• You do not need to be registered for the coming season to participate

WHEN ARE THEY? 

Sat, Jan. 17th from 11am-12pm, and is open to players new to softball, ages U9-U13 (2014-2017)

Sat, Feb 7th from 4-5pm at CFIS, and is open to players new to softball, ages U9-U13 (2013-2018)

Sat Feb 28th 4-6pm at St Joan of Arc and is open to players new to softball, ages U7/U9 (2017-2020)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Softball glove (any glove will do at this point)
• Indoor running shoes
• Athletic clothing
• Water
• Optional: Softball bat and helmet (WHS will have some available to borrow)

FORMAT:

This event is designed to introduce kids to the fundamentals of Fastpitch Softball, keep them active, and most importantly, have fun.

During the session, players will:

• Be introduced to proper throwing and catching techniques
• Learn how to field a ground ball and/or pop fly
• Get a chance to hold and swing a bat

COACHES:

• West Hill Softball volunteer coaches and players

COST:

• 100% free
• However, you must sign up for the session. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
