At West Hill Softball, we strive to keep everyone informed as best and as often as possible. Here are this week’s things to know:

1) THE WEEK AHEAD AT WEST HILL:
- RUSTBUSTER – Sunday (Jan 29): Limited spots remain – REGISTER HERE
This coming Sunday we have two more Rustbuster clinics at CFIS:
- 5:30pm, u9-u13: we opened up more spots, 3 remain!
- 7:30pm, u15-HS: 8 spots remain (note: conflicts with HS Div 1 ID Camp)
- BOTH U13 & U17/U19 ID CAMPS THIS WEEKEND
Notifications and invites will be sent out by Thursday morning (aiming for sooner where possible). Invites are sent to players who indicated that they’d like an invite on their registration.
- u13 ID Camps are being run at Absolute on Saturday 4pm & 530pm.
- u17/u19 (HS) ID Camps are at Coyote Den on Sunday 6pm & 730pm.
2) UPCOMING DATES TO REMEMBER
- EVALUATION DATES: Find out the latest on our WHS Evaluation Page. Some dates/times remain pending as we solidify the best gym rentals.
- SAVE THE DATE: PARENT ORIENTATION MEETING (u9+) Tuesday, February 28 (Virtual)
This is REQUIRED for all new families to West Hill Softball and is recommended for ALL to attend to find out more about what’s new for the coming season, including Q&A. Details for the meeting will be sent closer to the date.

Is your last Police Check for youth sports prior to 2021? You are due to be renewed, get started now!

Are you new to WHS? Don’t have a Respect in Sport Certificate? Get it done now – find out more on our Respect In Sport Page
Reminder: If you have completed your RIS for another sport, you are covered, but you must submit your number to us: SUBMIT RIS #
- VOLUNTEER CORNER
Those that signed up for Tournament or Coach Resource Coordinator positions will soon be invited to a meet & greet opening virtual meeting to kick it off

WEEKEND RECAP
Wow, what a busy weekend. We had 5 different Rustbuster clinics (80 players), 2 Try Softball Intro clinics (40 new players), and 2 u15 ID Camps (32 players) … a total of over 150 participants in 3 days! Also, we completed our first successful volunteer sign-up weekend, with credits earned towards your Volunteer Bond requirements! Great to see so many coaches back out in the gyms. Congrats to everyone who made it a fun, successful weekend.
LOST & FOUND NOTE
At West Hill Softball, we are typically unable to keep a collection of forgotten items and equipment from our clinics (unless it has your name on it). In most scenarios, we leave any items behind (e.g. this weekend included sweater, a glove, fielder’s mask, batting gloves, and bat. I believe we have a missing bat, plus a fielder’s mask from January 14). To track down your lost item, please contact the facility first before reaching out to us. And Please Please Please, put your name on ALL your gear, wherever you can. Thank you!
REGISTRATION UPDATE
As of tonight, we are up to 245 registration, which puts us on pace to potentially surpass last year’s record total of 405 players!
